Now， a somewhat different editorial is claiming that it leavesthe door open to China. These editorials cannot BOTH be right， but they areBOTH suppositions and BOTH MISGUIDED in their assumptions. The article claimsthat the door is being shut to “the west”. This is NOT TRUE. MOSTWESTERN NATIONS SUPPORT THE IRAN DEAL. The US is ONE western nation， and whileit is a large， powerful and often overbearing nation， it is NOT representativeof most of the western world. England， France， most of Europe and Canada alsosupport the existing agreement. The door is equally open to ALL nations thatwould support a peace process. If the door is “closed” for us， it isonly because we are foolish enough to allow a childish thug to speak for outnation. The sad thing is...with most of the world supporting the agreement， theonly door that is closed on ANYONE is the one being closed on us. People don’twant to live under constant threat， war， conflict， hatred and bloodshed. Ifthat‘s all we can represent (and that is typical of most empires)， then you canexpect such doors to be closed in our faces more and more often. As I’ve said before- it is an historic irony that we are reminding the rest of the world thatthey‘d best “hang together， else they will surely hang separately”.Close-minded hatred， conflict and perpetual war are diseases.
